We photographed this lovely family early summer with no sign of the sun.  We are in the midwest and experienced a drought this summer.  So the fact that we had a session without being graced by the sun was almost unheard of, if i remember correctly we even worried that it might rain.  Ha, rain! Regardless, of the weather we are always happy to see this crew.  Especially the boys, such sweet brothers.  It has been fun watching little Zane grow this year!

This session kicked off our summer sessions and our current obsession with beautiful back light.  These cute kiddos belong to a friend from high school and I couldn't have been more pleased when she contacted me to photograph them.  It was an evening of catching up and capturing cuteness!

Yes, we shot this early summer but we remember Ellyson like it was yesterday.  She was tiny, sweet and  hardly a peep.  We always think it's funny when mommies call or email and say "Hi this X, I don't know if you remember us but you photographed X".  Yes, we remember EVERYONE.  There has not been a newborn that we couldn't recall by name...the prep for the session, shooting time, editing time, posts on Facebook and now here.  Such a long time spent and we wouldn't have it any other way. We remember them all. 

We are a little behind from this summer...well, a lot behind to be honest.  But we are just going to keep on posting.  Maybe we will be all caught up by Christmas! Meet Deklyn, our very first member of our Baby Love plan.  We have since shot his one year session, so that will be coming soon too.  Here he is at his 9 month session, being sweet and smiley.

Meet one of our favorite families.  We love them because first of all they are adorable, friendly and fun. And secondly, because their momma is my old locker partner from junior high.  Interesting fact, both of us have twins. So weird. Anyway, such a fun session...tutus, rain boots and ice cream cones. Perfect combo!

Meet Nolan.  He was so handsome and we loved his hair.  He was a snuggly little poser and he let us try out our hammock pose.  It turned out so sweet.  We shot it as a composite so baby was safe at all times.  His nursery is decorated in owls and we think the smiley close up in the owl hat will look great on his wall. We can't wait to see him for his 6 month session...it's already on the books!

We held summer minis this August.  This is our only mini session that is not holiday related, just a celebration of summertime.  We lucked out and got a not so hot day.  Well it was hot, don't get me wrong, but it was bearable.  And yes, it was totally worth it to drag a couch out to a field :)

We first photographed Stella at her newborn session and were so excited to see her again at her 6 month session.  All this girl did was smile, giggle and shine during our time together. We dare you not to love her!
